Urban Forest Inventory: UFORE Pilot Project at Auburn University

Our overall goal in this project is to develop a 100% inventory of trees on the core campus of Auburn University using the UFORE protocol for the purpose of validating model components in the region, and investigating extended and optimal use of the program. The project will develop expertise in the use of the model, and support both university (graduate and undergraduate) and continuing education in inventory techniques. The inventory and Campus will be suitable for regional training events to further support the use of UFORE and the expertise of the region’s municipal forest managers.
